Upload your expression matrix (.xlsx, .xls, .txt, .tsv, .csv) to generate a customizable Z-scaled (or simply with raw values in the input file) heatmap. The input file should have genes as rows and samples as columns.
1. Upload Expression File
Header row is strictly required.
Main column used to find genes (e.g., Ensembl ID, Gene Symbol)
e.g., Ensembl ID, Gene Symbol
2. Genes & Samples to Include
Scans all genes in the input file.
Matches against selected ID columns. Plotted exactly in the serial specified.
Group samples together side-by-side with a color indicator. Reorder groups using the arrows; samples within a group will be placed consecutively.
3. Scaling & Appearance
Row-wise Z-score, a standard method, highlights relative gene expression changes across samples.
Choose which column's text appears as row labels on the heatmap.
Select from the presets or create a custom gradient.
Prevents extreme outliers from skewing colors (when scaled).
Low (Down):
Average (0):
High (Up):
Customize colors for downregulated, center/average (0 in Z-scale), and upregulated values.
